Balto is an app that allows users to buy and receive their dog’s food without leaving their house. The research goal is to understand how users often shop their dog’s food and the level of knowledge user’s have about how to feed their dogs, in order to make accurate interactive decisions.

The research process
The first part is always research: the understanding of the needs and behavioral habits of dog owners in Bogotá, Colombia. User personas, user journeys, and a benchmarking comparison were developed to understand market trends, and the motivations that users have that support their purchasing patterns.

The Prototyping process
The wireframing proposes the functionality of the app, evaluating the complete interaction of the screens. Then, the high quality prototype includes full and tight interactivity with designed visual information, interactivity adjustments were made based on issues identified in wireframe testing.
